Do we *need* inner envelopes?

Our wedding will be quite informal. 
Invites are all ready (not sealed) but now I'm wondering if we need inner envelopes.
hmmm.
Can you help?

    You don't need them, and for something informal it might not be appropriate, as the inner envelope seems more formal to me.  I do like them, however, if you have a lot of "and guest" invites.  Writing "and guest" on the outer envelope seems strange to me.

    No. Our response cards were post cards. And we're having a formal wedding. They were just hand stamped.

    Oh, and I think you can skip the inner envelope.

    Ditto on the first look picture. It almost makes me want one now... Hmm. 

    Anyways, I don't have envelopes. I have postcards. No biggie.

    The only reason I am using inner envelopes is because they came with my invitation set. I think they are sooooo dumb! Plus they just add weight that could possibly put you over the one stamp weight.

    LifeRemarkable - did you notice that the bottom of your sig says "perviously known as..."  It makes me think of a "perv."   Not trying to be mean, just wanted to let you know so you can fix it!

    Oh and I didn't have inner envelopes either!
