Do Bach Party guests have to be wedding guests?

So, I know that bridal party guests should of course only be guests invited to the wedding.  But is this true for a bachelorette party, too?  We're having a girls day to go to some vineyards and enjoy a nice lunch... it's, in truth, not very wedding oriented at all.  Can I invite some coworkers who are not being invited to the wedding?

    What Fishy said.

And technically, if it's a party in your honor, you're not suposed to do any of the inviting.

    Ditto PP's.

Think of it this way, how would you feel if somebody invites you to a bridal shower where everybody is expected to bring a gift, all while knowing you're not invited to her wedding?

Bridal showers aren't fun for guests in general, no matter how fun you think it may be.

If they're invited to pre-wedding parties, they need to be invited to the wedding.
