FSIL

I have a dilemna..my FI expects me to ask my 3 FSILs to be bridemaids..they are 25-35 married, and have kids..what should I do?  I want to incorporate them into the wedding somehow but already have my 3 BMs picked out.

Re: FSIL

  • Does he know you have 3 picked out and how many does he expect to have on his side?
  • He can have them stand on his side, since they are important to him but not particularly close to you.

I'm also considering using our siblings as ushers. FI isn't really close with his sisters, but I'd love to have my brother in the wedding, and I'd feel awkward having my brother stand and not his sisters.

  • He knows i picked out 3 already (my best friend and two cousins) but suggest i can add three more.  For him, he has three picked out but can easily include more.
  • Mery is right, if he wants them then he can have them on his side.  It happens a lot these days.

So if he has three picked out does he want you to unpick the 3 you picked?
  • Have them stand on his side.  They can wear the BM dress.  They can wear the BM dress in black.  They can wear a different dress.  Whatever makes him & them happy.  Ggame has some cute pics of this.

Dresses may be easier to take in than let out, but guest lists are not. -- kate51485
  • DH had his best friend/cousin on his side. PIB I think it will be fine. You shouldn't be pressured to have them on your side.
  • Thanks for the great ideas will discuss them with my FI
  • Why is this saying the post was 37 days ago?
  • i have no idea...
