ring engravings

Good morning and happy Friday, ladies!! FI and I just got our wedding rings (finally!) and we're both super excited by how nice they turned out. We want to get them engraved, but we're still trying to decide what we want exactly. Are you ladies getting your rings engraved? What are you having engraved?

i got his engraved as a surprise because it was complimentary! i wasn't sure what to get but i ended up just getting the word "gift". kind of a silly story, but when we went to pre cana, one couple told us how they always tell each other they are a gift before they go to sleep. now we have started that too.. sometimes we're so tired we just say "gift" like half asleep. my sister thought it was weird. but he will get it what were you thinking of getting?

We haven't decided yet. We ordered his (a titanium band from TitaniumKay.com) and already have it sitting in my jewelry box. Mine has to be made still by the jeweler who made my e-ring. We are reusing several diamonds and the platinum from my great-grandmother's ring (any leftover diamonds/platinum is going to my mom, she might get earrings or something made).

The only thing I'd think of getting is "My everything" which is something we started saying when we fell in love way back in the day. He gave me a frame before I went abroad for 6 months that had it engraved there too. But looking at my engagement ring I'm not sure how that would fit or even be legible! I guess we'll ask the jeweler when we go in, maybe he will figure out a way to make it work.

We are going to get ours engraved.  I was just thinking of doing our wedding date and initials.  I guess I am not as creative.

My E ring came engraved, and it says "Past, present, and future" because it's a 3 stone ring. We aren't planning to have our wedding bands engraved though.

Yep, I got them engraved as a surprise.   It's so tiny on the inside of the ring, though, but we know it's there!  We got the phrase 'I love you more' on them. It's a little inside thing between us. He loved it!

I got FHs ring engraved when we bought it, but he doesn't know what it says I want it to be a surprise. It's a super-inside joke thing for us so it wouldn't make sense to anyone else, but it says 'your pinky was right.'

I also go my FHs ring engraved as a surprise. For our entire relationship he's talked about how he wouldn't be surprised if he woke up one day and everything had just been a dream. Almost every day he makes some comment about he can't believe it's real (we met very randomly and so it is sometimes hard even for me to believe that he's the random good looking guy I met and that we fell in love. It's very cliche movie esque) So I got it engraved with "It's not a dream"

My parents have "The best is yet to be" on theirs and that is what I'm putting on his. Also a surprise

I'm not sure yet.  If I do I'm going to get FI's ring engraved with "burrito"  I called him that on our 2nd date and I've called him that ever since.

I have no idea if we are going to engrave our rings or not.  I never really gave it much thought.  But, considering we still haven't bought our rings yet, I guess we should start by buying rings first.

No engraving for us. We just couldnt decide on what we would want so we opted to just stay away from the engraving.
