I'm so bored! Finished mowing the yard, saving the weedeating for FI. My sister is being induced in the morning so really excited about that. Sucks sitting around with nothing to do just waiting though. Found out FI won't be back until Saturday probably. Not a fan of him being gone a week. Still need to do laundry, but I'd rather talk. What is everyone up to??

Ugh. Remember the weird confessions thread yesterday? Well one of mine is that lizards inside freak me out. Low and behold the dogs chased a lizard inside and he's not hiding under the love seat. I'm bout to have a heart attack. lol

Random question: is Cinco de Mayo on anyone's calendar?  It's not on mine this year, but I can't remember if it's been there in the past or not.

Hey ladies.  I'm annoyed b/c I just walked by our directors office and he has a new monitor that he put up facing the opposite direction of his monitor so if people are in the office they can see what's on his computer.  Sure, that's a cool toy to have, but what about raises we haven't gotten in over 3 years?  It's really hard to keep saying, "at least you have a job" when you see him buying toys every other week.

On my calendar for the fifth I have "Battle of Puebla," with an M in parentheses, which I assume means Mexico.  Maybe that's the inspiration for Cinco de Mayo?  I don't know my Mexican history.

Also?  I really want this day to be over so I can get on the train and finish Water for Elephants. I'm 80% of the way through after 3 train rides and a lunch so I'm expecting to finish it on my way home tonight.

I'd be annoyed too. I have a hard time staying calm when somebody tells me "we all have to make sacrifices", but have fancy new toys for themselves. Our hospital director tried to not give raises last year, even though they put a huge flat screen tv in the doctor's lounge. That didn't go over well and we got our raises.

LTB - SparkPeople is doing that to me too.  I obviously need to adjust what I eat because staying within my calories is making me hungry a lot.  Like actually stomach growling hungry, not just bored hungry.

I haven't read a book in like 3 weeks.  I feel like I ran out of the gate too quickly and wore myself out.  I need to learn to pace myself better.  I'm either all in and can't put it down or won't read at all.  I need balance.  It's so hard.

Well, I can't read at work and I barely have any time with H as it is so I don't read once I get home anymore and I don't do well with less sleep so...it's not so much control as survival.  Plus I can't afford a new book every day

I hate that it's only 12:30.  I need to make some calls and reschedule some people because one of our nurses screwed up her schedule, and I'm dreading it.  i hate having to reschedule people because they never rememeber the rule of "don't shoot the messenger."

I used sparkpeople for awhile, but I'm really bad at entering what I eat every day.  I just can't stick with it.

Fezz, I like it.  For some reason, I thought that I had picked it up in Borders forever ago and read a couple pages and it didn't grab me.  But It was only $6ish on the Kindle so I bought it.  I'm enjoying it and I'm not sure why I wouldn't have bought it then.  I wanted to read it before I saw the movie at any rate, although I may still wait for that on DVD.  The only thing that really bothers me is the animal abuse which I know is historically accurate, but not any fun to read

I'm annoyed because I ordered a Kindle on Saturday and it hasn't shipped yet! I want it now!

I'm doubly annoyed because this was supposed to be my birthday present from my dad. My birthday was 2.5 weeks ago and he just never got around to ordering it so he eventually just gave me money. I wish he had just given me the money in the first place.

I couldn't do Sparkpeople. I didn't like the layout. I did loseit for a while, but they don't count macronutrients so I just switched to myfitnesspal. I'm not sure I trust these sites though. I feel like I should maybe be eating more.

Is the Abs Diet low carb?  Because I'll never be able to do low carb.  Ever.  EVER.

I'm also planning on getting this book <clicky.  I really think that I have a truly unhealthy relationship with food and I'd love to try to change that.  Like when I'm craving a certain food, if I let myself have it, I swear it's how a heroin addict feels when they shoot up.
