Age cut off?

I want to make an age cut off at 10. There is literally one family (in town) that this would affect. He is awful. I don't mean typical 6 year old. I have seen him hit his grandma because he was told to not play in the street while his mother watch. He's been suspended from school for hitting his teachers. I've had to stop him from beating up and bullying my fiance's children (while his mother stood idly by). My fiance's children (who will be in the wedding) and this boy will be the only kids under 10. Is it awful for me to invite only his parents (who are gem themselves, but that is another story)?  They only have the one child, so it is not like Suzie can come and Joey can't.

Opinions are appreciated, no need to tread lightly, if you feel it's rude, have at me.

I don't think you even need to have an "age cut off" if that particular boy is not part of the family. IMO you just don't include that child's name on the invitation.

Your fiance's children are an exception, of course, because they're family. It's common where I live. So that particular boy's parents shouldn't be offended at all.  My FI and I are not inviting children outside family. We haven't had any issue with that so far and we're getting married in a little over 4 weeks.

why would you invite the parents if they are so rude to stand by while their child abuses your child?

ditto him not being family so ok to leave him off the invite.

Oops. I just re-read the post and saw that he's family. But I know few that are getting married that are not having kids, with an exception of their own, because they're "immediate". They should respect that decision.

My fiance comes from a family that is...not ideal. Unfortunately, they are family (sorry if it wasn't clear). The boy is a cousin, so it's a bit awkward. He can be ok, as long as things are going his way and he is the center of attention, I know it is ok to not invite children, but I think they may be upset (or bring him anyway). I'm just trying to figure out if it would be rude not to invite him.
