This weekend has been far, far, far too long.

We spent Friday and Saturday moving (oh joy.) and now U-verse apparently cannot be at our new place until Friday or Monday to hook-up the cable and internet. I am annoyed.

Also, we have no furniture because H has decided we should buy new, which is fine, but for some reason he already sold our old set to BIL, which leaves us furnitureless until we have time to go pick out and buy new.

True! The plan is to go Friday morning...I think I'll be spending a lot of time at Starbucks between now and then.

We literally have only a futon mattress. It's tragic (and kind of comical, honestly)...haha. He did not think this through at all, but at least it will be nice to get new stuff.

Wow that really sucks! We just moved a month ago and it was such a pain but at least we had our furniture! Furniture shopping is always so much fun, though, so at least you have that to look forward to!

I am quite excited about furniture shopping...not so much about practically sleeping on the floor for the next four nights. :P

That stinks. I go nuts when our Internet craps out, so I know how you are feeling. Hang in there with the furniture. Maybe you can get some good deals this weekend since it is a holiday.

Yeah we are moving next week and will be going through the same thing.  Luckily the military pays for us to get really good movers who come in and box everything up and load the truck.  We then have to drive across the country, and we will get to our new place anywhere from 2-7 days before our stuff.  So we will also be furniture-less and without anything except what fits in the car we are driving.  We plan on buying a new couch style futon though and new mattresses for us, so hopefully we'll get that when we get there.  If not, we'll be sleeping on an air mattress for a week.

Icky for no furniture, but at least you didn't have to move it, and then get rid of it! FYI, if you don't have something like a truck, I would potentially look at renting one at a place like home depot, because most furniture stores can't deliver same day, and delivery costs extra as well.

And at least Starbucks now has free wireless without having to sign in!

Good point, emy, about not having to move all the furniture and then get rid of it (I think that was H's logic when he decided to get rid of it prior to the move.)
