And it was awkward. Like really REALLY awkward. I posted something on the TtoT board (looking for chair covers) and it just felt weird. I felt like a foreigner in a foreign land. Anyone else feel this way? The Knot just feels like home to me.

No, don't feel weird at all.  I post on the International Nestie board, and the Travel board. 

The Travel board has recently gotten interesting as a member there had another Nestie banned for telling her to STFU.

I do a drive by every couple of days.  I recently purchased some paper lanterns off there... I'm waiting for them to show up.

I bought my chair covers on eBay.  They came this week and they're awesome!  Chocolate coloured satin universal, 100 for $290.  Not a bad price, cheaper than renting them in the area.  You can get the standard ones for cheaper (I found a few different ones for about $240ish for 100), I've got really weird chairs to cover, so I went the self-tie universal route.

You can get acclimated fairly quickly over there.  Just like any message board, it helps to lurk for a bit before really jumping in.

I dont find the nest weird at all, the only difference is no one knows who I am and I am a newb with a small amount of posts. I really like the gardening and health and fitness board though I dont post all that much.

I guess I feel more at home here because I'm still fairly newly engaged (3 months on the 12th) and am in the planning process. I am TERRIFIED of jumping onto the nest just because I'm not even at that point yet of thinking about "nesting" or starting a family. EK! Maybe it's just because I've board creeped for so long on here that I haven't branched out.

I used to post on D&R awhile back, but decorating the house has gotten put on the back burner.  My local was a lot of baby talk for awhile there, so I haven't really checked it out in a year or so.  I'll lurk on MM occasionally.

I've never looked at The Nest before... just went to see what I could see and it seems all the boards are down over there. Oh well.

I never moved to the Nest.  I tried the Money Matters board, but they didn't appreciate my  . . . frankness.  So I'll just let them continue with their blind leading the blind tactic while I count my Benjamins all the way to the bank. 

The Pesties liked me but there is only so much I can say about my furry friends without feeling like a weird cat lady.
