I feel like I have too much, the things are too expensive, and I am just generally not comfortable with giving out a big list for people to buy me. Plus, Macy's price yo-yoing is driving me nuts. The prices are never the same, one day the prices are double on nearly everything that they were the day before. I worry about people paying too much.

I have been engaged since this past April (got engaged in hawaii- I love that!) and we are getting married July 30th 2011. Just over a year away so I am starting to learn everything I need to know at this point. My obsession of the moment is whether I should wait to try to wedding gowns until I drop a few pounds. Also I LOVE checking out everyone's wedding photos- lots of cool and unique picture ideas!

Everything actually went really well. There was a moment with the unity candle, but the officiate fixed it. With a pocket knife. Can I suggest a unity candle for you and T that is NOT submerged in water? Yea... I'm thuper thmart.

Mags- I know people judge the shiit out of registries, but honestly, I wouldn't worry about it, unless it is all crazy priced stuff and that's all you have.

I explained to DH that this isn't a list of what you are expecting to get. It a a wish list of what you would really like to have for your new life. You don't expect to get all of it- or any of it, for that matter. If people would like to purchase a gift for you, this is a guide to help them. Make sure you have a range of prices, and then, don't sweat it.

Do what you want, it's your day!!!! (kidding)

Mags- obsess away then, my dear!  Once we had everything figured out, I obsessed about speeches and being embarrassed by them, but everything turned out fine.

FWIW, I did register for a Dyson vacuum at Target, knowing full well no one was going to buy it for us. But? With the discount and gift cards, guess what I can now afford... A Dyson wind tunnel!
