So, the other day, I asked my sister something that had been bothering for some time, basically since I asked my best guy friend to come to the wedding. Now, he's black and his girlfriend (whom he plans to marry is white) and as much as it bothers me that I even had to ask this in the first place, I wanted to make sure nothing would happen. My sister's husband is racist and from Eastern Europe. I've never heard anything kind out of his mouth about a black person, so because I worried and wanted to basically let her know incase he decided to say something, I merely mentioned it to her. Just as a heads up thing, and I know I'll probably get some slack from somebody reading this and my sister was even mad, but, can you blame me? To make sure everyone is comfortable I only told her, and then she told her husband, he makes the comment of, 'if it will make you feel better, I'll stay home' and I don't want that. I just want to make sure things go smoothly. I can't even believe I have to worry about this at my wedding.
