I'm looking to host my reception for about 100 people in NYC for around $10k.
First of all, am I crazy?
Second, does it help to do heavy apps and open bar instead of a full dinner?
I've been looking to get a private room or rent out a bar but the space would have to be suitable for the older family members to have places to sit and relax while the rest of us have room to dance.
Also I heard that telling the venue the party is a holiday party or family reunion helps with pricing. True?
I found a good hotel deal in Chelsea so around there would be awesome but by NO means necessary.
Any suggestions!?!?
