Invitiation wording?

so I've seen a lot of examples for if we as well as both sets of parents are hosting ("together with our parents", ect), but what if it's just FI and I and my parents?  I have NO clue as to how to have the wording.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

My parents and my FI are paying for our wedding. Our invites followed this format:

    (bride's dad) and (bride's mom)
    invite you to celebrate the
    marriage of their daughter
    (bride)
    to
    (groom)
son of (groom's father) and (groom's mother)

Even if its just your parents paying its nice to put the FFIL and FMIL's names on the invites. We did it just to enjoy any potential drama, and I'm actually glad we chose to include them.

This is my favorite option if you choose not to use "together with their parents." Granted, if there are stepparents, things get complicated. But this wording implies the brides parents are hosting while still honoring the groom's parents. We would have used this wording if the invitation design we chose didn't leave room for the "son of..." line.

  • HOSTING is not the same as PAYING.

The bride's parents host the wedding, unless they are deceased or unless they do not approve of the wedding.

Maybe in 1952? Seriously, there is nothing wrong with doing "together with their parents". Also, a brides parents could be alive and supposrtive and still not pay OR host.
