Walking down the aisle

I have a unique situation that is going me alot of headaches and i need advice.  I am having my step father walk me down the aisle, not my biological father.  My step father raised me since birth and my biological father did not have much to do with me because he is an alcoholic.  i just recently over the past few years became close to my biological father after a near death accident.  My fathers side of the family is upset because my stepfather is walking me down the aisle and feel as though my biological father should be.  the kicker is that my step father and biological father are brothers.  This is causing me a huge headache and now my step father wants to back out because of family pressure.  i am about to dis-invite my entire family at this point.  Any advise???

Re: Walking down the aisle

  • My FI and I just decided to walk together down the aisle. I think my dad might be a little disappointed, but I think walking down the aisle together is more meaningful to us.

Just another idea that would save you a lot of trouble. This would only work though if you are okay with seeing each other before the ceremony (we're doing photos before)..
