Friday! Woo!

Re: Friday! Woo!

  • I haven't been to Wet'n'Wild in a long time. We used to go like every weekend in middle school though. Everyone had an annual pass, it was the place to be.
  • I used to want to go to Blizzard Beach so badly.  We never went though.  We hit up Disney three times during my life.

I want to go with H.  He went to Disney when he was 2 and has no memory of it.

  • Sorry you're having a rough two days Rachers! It's the weekend, that'll make it better! :)
  • No, Rach, there is one in Orlando. I've actually never been to Texas.
  • I've never been to Blizzard Beach. It was closed when we went to Disney last year due to the time of year. I might be willing to try that one, but I don't think I'll ever go back to WnW.
  • Okay, this may be TMI, but I'm pissed.  I'm on the pill still, and I am only my second pill in of my last week of the pack, and I'm bleeding.  WTF?  Seriously?  This never happens to me.  I thought the whole purpose of all those damn hormones were so I can have some sort of regularity in my freaking cycle.  Humph.

  • Habs, that used to happen to me all the time when I was on the pill.  It sucked.

  • Habs, that happened to me when I switched to the low dose.  It was really annoying.  Have you changed pills or anything?

Bay, are you charting?  Sorry, I'm nosy.  I want to hear charting stories from as many people as possible!  I'm still not sure if it's for me just yet.

  • I love water parks more than anyone I know. Part of the fun is looking at the ridiculous people. Please don't gross me out.
  • Habs, I get to start the pill in the next week or two. I'm worried about that.
  • Y'all, I've had a rotten week at work. I'm so happy it's Friday, I'm totally over it. Thankfully, barring the unexpected (fingers crossed), today should be pretty low key.
  • Sorry Special Embarassed  I'm sure you'll have a great time!

  • Adamar -- no, we're not TTC yet.  We wanted to get into a better position financially (and emotionally, after all the crap last fall) before we start.  I charted for a little while but then I gave up on it when...yeah.  All that crap went down.

I went off hormonal BC back in January of '11 because I hated it.  I always gained a lot of weight when I was on the pill, and I kept developing a "tolerance" (I would ovulate even while on the pill), and had to keep switching brands.  Plus my insurance didn't cover BC (gotta love the Catholic church!), so I had to pay almost $80 a month if I couldn't get samples from my doctor.  So eff it.  We use condoms, and I hate those too, but hopefully not for much longer.

  • Hi!
TGIF.  I have to leave mid-day for a doctor's appointment but I'm coming back for the end of the day cause I have work things to do and I've taken off too much time lately for other stuff, travelling and holidays and what-not.
  • Habs, that started happening to me more and more when I was on the pill. It happened around my wedding so that I had my period on my honeymoon when I wasn't supposed to and I was so pissed I just stopped taking BC.

Now I'm charting (TTA) and have been since September and it's been great so far.
  • I'm going off it in a few months and we're charting (well, and using other methods) but no more hormones for me.  I've been on them for too damn long and I'm sick and tired of what they do to my body.  I'd go off sooner, but apparently women in my family are crazy super fertile and I am in two weddings (I know, dumb reason) and don't want to risk it.  After that, whatever happens, happens.  I've been on this particular pill for 9 months, so it shouldn't be doing this to me.

  • Anna - do you use condoms or alternate BC, or just chart?

  • Hello all-

Sesh I think you and I have the same co-worker... I am shaking my head over their inability to function. If something new comes along my supervisor cannot handle and change appropriately she always says "There's  a PROCESS!" I am like "Slow your roll cucumber..."

Anyways my tummy has been hurting the last few days not sure why.

This weekend: Tomorrow is Dragon festival so we are going to celebrate and then I have round 2 of dress trying on.

  • Habs, we mostly just don't do it when I'm ovulating. H really hates condoms and would just rather not have sex for a few days. We keep some around JIC though.
  • Haha yes I am I will post pictures- and you all can help. :D

  • I'd love to get off the pill since I have the same issue, habs. But I'm not risking it because I know I'd be too lazy to chart.
  • We are charting to TTC, but we charted to avoid for a few months when I first went off the pill last May.  I may or may not be going to Oklahoma City for some fertile weekend booty next weekend.  LOL.  I find it to be pretty easy and non-invasive.  Unless I need them for other reasons I don't think I will ever go back to hormonal birth control again.

That's my main concern.  Plus, if I end up with hellacious week-long heavy periods again I would just go right back on the pill.  I like my four light periods per year.

  • Ooo I can't wait to see Spa in wedding dresses! :)
  • A - That's why I've been cutting out all hormone stimulants in preparation.  I have cramps that make me black out, and when I first go on the pill, it helps.  But after a few months, they are almost just as bad anyway.  I don't drink coffee or consume any dairy anymore.  I drink lots of tea that helps with hormone balance and I take chia seed daily which is supposed to help with hormones.  I really just want to get them balanced out so I'm no longer a walking ball of mad hormones.

  • Hey loopy, I think I remember you posting about my venue on the NE Ohio or Cleveland board.  I may pick your brain.  We just had our menu tasting.

I know I haven't been around much, but H and I chart (TTA) and we use a method that doesn't make you wake up at the same time every day to take your temp and it's actually pretty convenient.  There's so much stuff that can eff with your waking temperature that I really disliked that method.
