How could I forget titanic. I saw that movie in the theater 8 times and bawled my face off each time. The worst is when she gets on the lifeboat and is looking at leo and you can just FEEL her heart breaking and she jumps off and they run and kiss. omg.
  • I forgot about Armageddon, the second she says "daddy no" I'm completely gone.

I also cried when reading The Time Travellors Wife. The end of the book was like "no no no it can't end that way, what kind of love story is this!"

I've had to watch it several times because I cry through almost the entire thing. Some good and some bad, but always crying. I need to get my hands on a copy of it.
  • Ohh yeah Family Stone.

Seriously you guys, it's bad.  ESPN makes me tear up regularly.
  • I love When Harry Met Sally!

Ditto.. I get a lot of sighs accompanied by one-armed hugs and pats on the back from my FI.. especially when it's at like a Kodak commercial or something.
  • I cried while both reading and watching the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Ahem.

Ive probably seen it 30+ times, just because I love it so much. I ALWAYS ff the beginning when buddy gets killed by the train though. I hate that part :(
  • I think I cry more at the true life movies but I think The Boy in The Striped Pajamas was THE SADDEST movie ever.

  • I'm also with kate; I cry at like every movie ever. Marley and Me, Lion King, Fried Green Tomatoes, Simon Birch, Love Actually, Schindler's List, all versions of Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet, Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, Armageddon, My Girl, Titanic (still), Secondhand Lions, I could go on forever...

Seriously, the first 20 minutes of "Up" had me and my FI using our shirts as tissues and 3 of my younger siblings looking at us like we'd lost our minds.
  • Yea...Sisterhood of the travelling pants can be added to my list as well.
    Also, Benjamin Button.

I get choked up at any awkward moment as well. I think I'm just very empathetic
  • I cry basically in any movie, but the one that my FI laughed the most at me was at the end of Star Dust when the narrator says something like to live forever you have to have a piece of a stars heart and she gave him hers completely. I have cried through many cartoons too.

The funny thing is I remember making fun of my mom when she cried during moves and now I do it all the time.
  • Oh AND every Harry Potter book or movie where someone dies. I cried progressively more and more as the books went on.

  • Oh, and add that depressing Christmas Shoes movie to the list.
  • sarah#s- you are not alone.
nebb- i usually watch it, but i'm crying so much i can't even see what's going on anyway. and now i have to buy a copy of it.
  • Marley & Me
    Step Mom
    Funny People
    My SIster's Keeper
    The Lovely Bones
    Steel Magnolias

Since I got engaged, I cry a lot more. The list has grown substantially since then.

I was SO scared when we went to see the half blood prince that when dumbledore died I would bawl. When I read the book I held it together and once I finished I called my mom to tell her I finished and just started crying, I cried as hard as if a real person died.

At the end of Book 7, the entire chapter in the forest, I just sat on the couch and bawled while I was reading it. My sister and I both got our books at midnight and then read through the night on opposite ends of the couch, and I read a little faster than she does, so she knew something rough was coming....

The adaptation was really odd. I think if I hadn't watched the book, I'd have hated it. But I had the backstory in my head to help me through it. DH thought it was a joke.

I cried many times during the last book. I nearly started hyperventilating at the end when voldemort avadakadavara's harry, i had to re-read it three times to make sure I was really reading it correctly. I think I read that book in less than 24 hours after buying it at midnight. I scheduled time off work so I could read it through without stopping.
