True or false:

Re: True or false:

  • I could also rephrase my answer:  My wedding day was definitely the happiest day of my life.
  • A great day. One of the best. But not the single best day I've ever had. And I sure hope it's not the best ever moving forward because I like to hope there's even more great things on the way.

    I agree Money, happiest.

Seshat, I'm jealous. I love Carl Hiaasen. Is he as funny person as his writing is? Or as twisted?
    Leo says hi. He's...special.

  • Yeah, I think it might have been - it was definitely the happiest. It was at least tied with the day I held Andy for the first time and the first time he called me Emmie.

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Money put it perfectly: My wedding was the happiest day of my life thus far, for sure.

"Best" to me would be given to random moments that have just happened or really awesome days we didn't plan for. One that comes to mind was swimming in Sedona with H (we were just dating at the time). The red rocks in the background and the absolute peace and quiet... just a wonderful, private time between the two of us... moments like that get the title "best" in my book.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: True or false: : This is how I felt in undergrad, but in law school there was a long period of time when I actually thought failing/dropping out was a real possibility.  Also why passing the bar was so sweet. Wedding was awesome and we had a great time, but there was never any doubt we'd be married at the end of the day, you know?  Planning was rough at times, but I knew that ultimately shiit would work itself out and we'd get it done.

I feel like that day for me was when I got my offer after my summer associateship.  At that time I thought - now I'm at a big law firm and nothing bad can ever happen to me.  I have since left that firm (for a bigger law firm) and I'm moving to a smaller legal market and a smaller firm.  That happiness seems so naiive now though - after several of my very intelligent lawer friends have been laid off all over the country.

  • It was certainly the most mad sick party I've ever attended.

  • Yes I'm aware of how late I am to this thread.
I think it was in the top 5, but not necessarily "the best'. Here are my top 5, not in order

    Wedding
    Closing on House
First day single after my lst relationship
Presenting my archaeological report at a professional conference to people whose work I had studied in college
Seeing my dad use chopsticks only 1 year after running his hand through a tablesaw (requiring 6 hours of hand reconstructive surgery, 5 nights in the hospital, and 1 year of physical therapy and a lot of pain)
