CN:  op is moving in with her parents and has to get rid of their 3 cats.  This one is fat and incontinent and she can't find anyone to take her, so she was going to give it to a shelter.

My kitty is fat...I think it was the peeing everywhere that was the problem.

By the way, slimming down an overweight cat is NOT as easy as people would have you think...

smokey - apparently she blamed the fatness on the cat getting knocked up twice.  Because that's not easily controlled at ALL.

I'm just a lurker but thought that was so cute so I had to reply. It was really sweet of them to take on the cat.

Very true and taking the weight off them too fast can kill them. It took over a year to slim down one of my cats. Previous owners fed him way too much junk.

Smokey - the way she said it made it sound like the overweigh-ness was the issue.

And the cat peed on the clothes she left on the floor. Cause that's not an easily solved problem either.

We're trying to slim down our foster cat. It's hard. Especially when the cats start crying for food at 4am.

Oh, yeah, the whole breeding thing.  That made my stomach hurt.  So many kittens, so few homes.

I am glad there was so much interest.  I am following a kitty in NY that was beaten horribly and is looking for a foster.  Sad.

I stand by my original statement that people suck but I will temper it with sometimes.
