This is it HELP! Anyone either married or attended a wedding at the Vanderbilt at South Beach?

I'm running out of time by Friday August 13,2010 I need to make a decision on my venue. I would like to put a sizable downpayment on the Vanderbilt at South Beach which is my first choice. At first glance it seems beautiful and I am having a summer wedding so I would like to have the actual ceremony on the beach. I'm concerned about the fact that they may host two events at the same time and the food has anyone attended or held their wedding at this venue? Please any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated!

    ok, aside from the drama, i personaly have not attended a wedding there but looked at it and loved the lobby, just wasnt crazy for the shape of the room.  my mom went to a wedding there last year and said the food was ok.  David Tuttera (my wedding GOD hehe) hosted a place there for one of his brides and he made the beach kind of private by putting up fabric around the ceremony and im pretty sure he catered food.
    what was your other venue option? the hilton?
