response cards....

is it bad if i have an email on my response card? they can send a quick email instead of mailing back?

Re: response cards....

  • not bad at all but i would add a phone number. or do mail back ones for some teck un-saavy people.

we did a website rsvp and a phone rsvp. i actually kinda wished we had an email option for people who like the idea of online, but not the website option.

  • I agree with PP, as long as you include a number as well or some sort of other option you should be fine. Some people are either not tech savvy or don't own a computer (believe it or not! my parents and my 27yr old brother don't own comps) And some older generations may actually be offended by having to use email. But that is speaking strictly about my and my FI's families as I don't know if anyone in your fam's would be offended by this.
  • Go for it with the email, just know that it may not get used. We only got 3 email RSVPs out of the 55 invitations we sent out, and our crowd was pretty young and technologically advanced. I wouldn't neglect to provide the mail-in option, i.e. a self-addressed stamped envelope.

  • I will be doing something similar (but with our wedding website). I will be including our phone number, as well as our address, for those who chose to respond in more "traditional" methods.
