Marning!

The sun is up!

So beauty question; if you were going to be stranded on an island, what is the ONE beauty product you absolutely NEED to have?

I love your siggy pic, you look so pretty.

    Good morning ladies!

If I were stranded, I must have my concealer. I have a problem with undereye circles due to my allergies & sinuses, so can't live without it.

Hopefully today (and the rest of the week) flies by. I am not looking forward to the move this weekend. And I have to work early Sunday morning for about 5 hours. I just want it to be over. We are going to be dragging as$ next Monday morning.
  • Morning!

I don't think I'd be thinking too much about my looks if I was stranded on a deserted island.  But I do have a chapstick addiction, so I'd need a lifetime supply of that crap with me.

  • Good Morning!  I went to my first parent/teacher conference last night, the teacher nicely said that Jocelyn talks too much, but that she's also pretty much just full of awesome.  :)  So we took her out to dinner to Olive Garden.........OK - we took ME out to OG because I really wanted it.  So anyhow, I had a great night.

    I'd want sunblock!
  • Nice new sig picture, Rosie :)  Pro engagement pic?

I'd have to go with the consensus so far and say chapstick.  But then again, I don't wear makeup regularly.

  • I beg to differ. The sun is NOT up yet, even though I'm still in the eastern time zone. 1 beauty product would have to be my moisturizer.

And don't forget to go vote today, everybody. I had to hold my nose while casting my vote for the governor's race, but I did it. Finally. I couldn't believe how long the people in front of me were taking to vote. Have an idea what's on the ballot before you get to the machines, people!

  • Chapstick with SPF.  I hate when my lips get sunburned/dry.

Morning.  No coffee yet so that's about all I can manage at the moment :)

  • Aww, Stacks. That is awesome about J.

She seems like a bright little girl and I am sure she will do great in K next year.

Thanks!  She actually won't start Kindergarten for like 3 more years.  Her birthday is right on the cut off and she's only 3 right now.  We were thinking about sending her early but all the people we've talked to say you'll never regret waiting another year to send them to school, but you could totally regret sending them too early.
  • I am thinking a toothbrush. But my pasty white skin should use sunscreen so I don't know. I could use sand to get the grit off of my teefs.

  • Also we have early voting in MD so I voted two weeks ago :)

  • I'll be voting after work.

Oh, my bad. I thought she was older than that. I don't know what I was thinking.

Kids grow up way too fast these days, I am all about holding them back another year. I was one of the older ones bc I have a Nov bday. And H went an extra year of pre-k bc his Mom didn't think he was ready.
  • Hmm.. does a brush count?  My hair would become one big knot if I couldn't brush it.  If not I'd say sunscreen.  I get burnt easily.

Morning, ladies.  I'm enjoying my cinnabon and reading emails (and TK).

  • Oh and Stacks, that was one comment my mom got EVERY parent-teacher conference.  That I talk too much, but a pleasure to have in class, haha.

  • Morning! I'll vote after work today too.

Hmmm....deserted island...one product....I'd probably have to go with moisturizer or chapstick. It's hard to choose between the two.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday. And congrats on the great review for Jocelyn, Stacks.

  • Good morning!

H and I are planning to go vote after work tonight. Hopefully the lines won't be too crazy! Most of my coworkers went first thing this morning, but I have a hard enough time getting out the door with enough time to make it to work by 8 - much less for something earlier. LOL!

I'm on the sunblock train. Actually, knowing me - it would be a tan enhancing sunblock. Hehe.

  • Morning! Cute pic Rosie.

I'd have to go with chapstick as well. I'm definitely addicted. And I'm ashamed to admit that when I renewed my driver's license and changed my name/address I did not update my voter registration, so I'll be sitting this election out. I really need to get that straigtened out though because I feel like a super huge moron. Embarassed

I'm going to be the dissenting vote here. If she's exceptionally bright (as in already reading at her age) she will likely thrive in starting school early. Numerous studies on gifted children point to this.
  • Morning, guys!

A beauty product, huh? Chapstick and sunblock were good ones. I hate to smell though, so maybe some all in one shampoo/bodywash.

Anyway, I'd take along my tinted moisturizer that has sunscreen in it.

I have definitely thought this way too!  Her birthday is 2 months past the school districts cut off date, BUT, if she is recommended by her teachers, passes the districts interview and we feel she's ready, I see no need to keep her back.  I've definitely been doing my research on our options.  :)  I'm trying to keep an open mind.
In Response to Re: Marning! : If it makes you feel any better, I'm sitting out on voting too. I finally got my license changed last week and they updated my voter registration card but told me it would be 2-4 weeks before it would actually update in the system so I couldn't vote.
    Posted by lovethebeach16
I'm sitting this one out as well. I haven't officially declared residency yet since I moved (trying to put that off as long as I can for various reasons) and I didn't think it was right to vote for people in state where I don't live anymore.  Under normal circumstances I would vote.
