We invited single friends who would know others at the wedding without a plus one. We're getting our RSVPs in and a few singles that we didn't invite a guest for RSVPed for 2 anyways. We expected this and left a little wiggle room in our numbers for this so we're just going to let it slide. Question is, can I ask these people who they're planning on bringing without coming off as rude?
My inside motive for this that I've had some people tell me they'll RSVP for them and a date ahead of time and then not bring anyone if they can't find a date. I'm trying to avoid paying for people who won't show up.
