flowers

Any rec's for affordable florists? I plan on using gerber daisies, nothing over the top. I already know what I want the centerpieces to look like and am going to order the mason jars myself.  Also, does the arch for the ceremony come from the florist or do you rent it and then have them decorate it?? we are getting married in Brooklyn in April. Advice appreciated.

Flowers by Emil - they're in Bklyn (Bensonhurst) - very affordable, works with every type of budget.  Only downfall is that his website is horrible!

I can recommend my florist Emily Rose Wood http://emilyrosewood.com/

her website is not great also, but she does beautiful work.  She doesn't have a store so her prices are more affordable. Also I know that she has already build an arch that she can rent to you if you are interested. I didn't need it because my venue already had something, so I haven't seen it, but you can certainly ask.

    good luck

Designs by Rose tends to book very quickly and she will not give you alternatives to check out.

I found Emil to be a bit too short.

I ended up using Flowers by Richard - located in NYC, he did the ceremony for us in Brooklyn and reception on NYC.  Very flexible and reasonable and he'll make samples to show you.  We got nothing but compliments.
