XP: How to address invitations

My fiance and I used to have two roommates, who happen to still live together. They're not officially or openly dating, but we've always kind of thought they were. It seems wasteful and stupid to send two separate invitations to the same address, but I know etiquette dictates that we do. We're lost...help?

Send them each an invite, especially if you're giving them a +1.

If you don't know that they are a couple, or if they don't consider themselves a couple publicly, you should DEFINITELY send them separate invitations. 

I understand that it's annoying, because I'm inviting two friends who are roommates, but really it's the more appropriate thing to do.

I third the decision to send two invites. I know it seems wasteful, but in the grand scheme of wedding planning it won't be that bad.
