Poll - getting nekked

Re: Poll - getting nekked

  • Agk...I really think you should do it.  It is really cool to look back and see the pictures and I think it is liberating and helps you to appreciate your body when a photographer catches the beauty in something you never even noticed before.

  • I become really lame and "puppies and rainbows" when im sick, so youll have to put up with it for a little bit!
  • Thanks Nebb! You're beautiful, you're beautiful, you're beautiful it's true... :)

"cool......insult my size 2 body or my natural brown hair...or the fact that my parents own a country club, I have no budget for a wedding, and I have horses. I really dont care. Its better then having roots." ~ futurepivko
  • Haha truth be told, I like a little puppies and rainbows sometimes.

This is exactly why I'm most likely doing it. FI's very supportive, the photographer gives me a great vibe, and I'll make a good chunk of change for standing around. It's really a no-brainer decision I suppose.

  • Awesome, Sascha!
  • I know I'm super late, but I wouldn't do it only because I know I would never get a teaching job for the rest of my life if anyone saw it, with or without my name attached. If I knew I was choosing a career field where that didn't matter, and maybe if I lost several pounds first :) , I'd probably do it!

  • There is no way I could do this, since I would lose my teaching job. Plus, with my extra poundage, no photographer today would be interested. Rubens, however, would have loved me.

Beatles, I feel your pain. When I was in high school, my mom had to make all of my formals because the alterations would be more expensive than the dress itself. Back then, my bust was a 14, my waist was a 10, and my hips were an 8. talk about top-heavy. My older daughter (age 11) shows every sign of taking after me bust-wise. She's outgrown her A cups, and is filling out a B almost perfectly. My SIL is the same size.
  • Thanks for all your answers. I was really hoping to get positve responses and I did. I have to say the poll results are rather interesting: the highest response was for "no way it's for my FI's eyes only." This is how I felt until my FI said I was crazy for not doing it. I suppose we're very liberal though.

Thanks for playing in my first ever poll!

  • I am a little late, but if I had the body for it, and knew it would be tastefully done, I would do it. I'm in a profession where it wouldn't matter, and I don't think anyone would ever want to elect me to political office, so I would go for it. I would be scared to death, but would want to say that I didn't let an opportunity like that pass me up.

DO IT! That's such an awesome experience AGK.

ANd PS: Sara, my wedding dress will have to have sooo many alterations because I am built exactly the way you describe. It makes dress shopping a huge hassle.

  • With my current body, no. However, if I was thin and fit, I don't think that I'd be as self-conscious as I am now.

I said yes. I feel that if I were comfortable in my own skin and DH was okay with it, I would strongly consider doing it.
  • I wouldn't just for job security. I work in education and I'm sure someone would recognize me and goodbye any hopes of working in my field again. I know too many people spread too far and wouldn't want to take the chance of it being seen, even without my face attached to it.

If there wasn't a face attached then I might consider it.
  • None of the options pertain to me.  I don't think I look good nekkid. Otherwise, I'd totally do it.
  • Personally, I might do it if it were respectable (figure model for an art class, etc), but because of my profession, I can never do so.
