Moving my date!!!

Thanks for all the answers to my post the other day. After talking it over with FI and our parents, we are moving out date up more than 6 months!!! Instead of March 31, 2012, we will be getting married September 3, 2011 (Labor Day Weekend). I am so excited but a little stressed now since I have to start dress shopping soon and get out my STDs in a couple months!! I am so glad we moved it, I could not wait any longer!!

Woot!  That's super exciting!  I found TK's checklist to be very helpful as timeline reminders so that I didn't get too stressed.  GL!

I don't remember the back story but don't be stressed!  More than a year is PLENTY of time to plan a wedding.  I had a full year and there were several months where I just didn't have anything to do. 

You might want to wait to dress shop for a few months.  Styles change and your tastes change and people that buy too early sometimes end up regretting it and becoming 2 dress brides.  Wait to dress shop and wait to send save the dates until your closer to one year or less. 

The Knot checklist is a great tool that helped me stay on track and feel less overwhelmed!

That's great! I've been able to plan my wedding in about 10 months so far (13 when we get married) and it's really a breeze. I'm convinced someone can do this in 3 months if they have a lot of free time and aren't picky about vendors, lol. Good luck! September is a great time to get married!
