Westboro protest.....

Really? You're protesting "brats" at a high school b/c of a class you call Rebellion 101 that you won't even tell the real name of. You're lame, you suck and your fly is down. Idiots. I really wish Columbus wasn't so big b/c it'd be impossible to park in the cars for this one b/c I totally would.

From the website:
Darby High School in Hilliard, OH May 10, 2011 7:10 AM - 7:40 AMWBC will picket the worthless brats at Darby High School where the parents and teachers teach Rebellion 101. Your moral compasses have been shattered by this nation's lies, chiefly that God is blessing america despite her proud, rebellious sin and idolatry. Of course, even high school children can see that there are no blessings for them, only curses all day, every day. Your parents, teachers, preachers and leaders have no answers for you because they have sinned away their last day of grace by failing to teach you God's commandments and warning you to flee the wrath to come.

Exactly. How do you convince people these are good ideas? OR how do you have enough time on your hands to care what a high school has on their curriculum?
• Omg these WBC people are worthless, I am so tired of hearing their protests and seeing them in the news. I wish they were easier to ignore or atleast nuke off the planet.

• I don't even know how to respond to that.

There's gotta be something in the water...

• Do not go to their website! I can't say this enough... they make money off of it.
They threatened to picket the funeral of our Marine friend who died in Afghanistan. They didn't because the Patriot Guards (bikers who keep these crazies away) showed up.
They are evil, evil people.
• I think it'd be great if ZERO media showed up and school was secretly cancelled that day. So they were just standing their like idiots protesting to noone. Of course that'd never happy b/c they look like idiots all by themselves.
• Just googling the church name and seeing the name of the website was more than enough to make me NEVER click on that link. God does not hate who you say he hates you stupid Westboro idiots!!!!!
• LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA

• I want to know what the actual class is. My first guess would be the obvious one of biology, but I don't know if evolution is really that rebellious.
• I feel like I always have to say it... there's a lot of curiosity regarding them, especially because of the name of their website.
• In the past year, I've become comfortable saying that I hate people. I REALLY hate these a-holes.
• I watched a BBC documentary on them "The Most Hated Family in America." They are insane. When the reporter would ask questions of the head of the church he would misdirect and never answer a question straight. When he would ask questions of the little kids they didn't know how to answer why they hate gays or jews and would always look to their mom to make sure they were answering correctly. Being prompted in their responses. Brainwashing, it's sickening. Another guy that started doing a documentary on them got sucked in to their craziness and uprooted his whole family because he "believed in their message"

• Maybe the class is called a$$ kicking 101 b/c in high school we played a tournament soccer game there and the girls soccer team beat my team 15-0 and they didn't shoot the ball the second half, they just passed around us. It was humiliating. :)
• I had to google it, Stacks, just because of what you said, and I agree.

Me too.
• Well, now I want to know what the class is.

They seriously have way too much time on their hands. How do you even go about finding out about random high school classes?

I will never understand these people. They're total wackadoos.
• You know, I WISH I had as much time and money as this group seems to have to travel! Of course, that's NOT how'd I'd use it, but I could do so much GOOD with all that time!

And FWIW, I believe in a God of grace...who loves everyone in His creation!

I sort of want to kidnap their children, so I can "fix" them and undo the brainwashing. Stop the cycle, you know?

*I would not actually kidnap anyone's children.*
• I was under the impression that God loves all of us. Why else would he sacrifice his only son for us?

That church has some SERIOUS theology issues.

Don't for a second be ashamed of how you grew up........these crazies might be Baptist but it doesn't mean all Baptists are crazy.

Just like most terrorists are Muslim, but not all Muslims are terrorists - which would bring us back to the mosque close to 9/11 ground zero debate.

My late FIL was in the Patriot Guard - I never even knew about it until after he died - people like WBC make me sick. When I hear about them protesting military funerals (among their other nonsense), I can feel my blood pressure rise. They need to be muffpunched. Hard.

They get most of their money to travel by filing lawsuits against people that get upset at their protests and assault them.

I guess ashamed was the wrong word. I hate the look I get when people overhear me saying something about growing up Baptist. It's a look of, "Crazy WBC nut job." It almost like somepeople think all Baptists are members of the WBC. It drives me crazy.

He is very much appreciated.
My friend's family was obviously very upset as it was and WBC added another layer of hurt. The funeral was held at a church that doubles as an elementary school, but school administrators closed the school that day in case they showed up. WBC doesn't care that small children could be traumatized by them and their message...
