Vent!

Okay, I am having a shitty day, and am frustrated with everything.

The invitation place has now messed up the proofs for the third time, my motther has decided to take a whole bunch of crazy pills today, and I had a flat tire earlier.

I am over wedding planning at this moment, and I really envy people that have mothers who are not nosy. I love my mother, but she always has to know everything going on in my life, and give her opinion.

 She has decided that after everything has been booked and invitations ordered, that she hates the rehearsal dinner location, even though she suggested it in the first place. Fi's parents are paying for it, and I am planning it, so all she really has to do is show up, I have received 6 calls today about it. She's high strung, so telling her to butt out, just makes her cry and throw a fit.

Anyone else want to complain and vent with me?

Do you live close enough that you can go and hug your mother?  I think that's a good idea.

I really do love her tons, but as an only child, I am her outlet for her bad moods. Today she is crazy, and I'm getting the fallout from it.

Do you feel comfortable telling her your frustrations?...nicely of course, and not telling her to "butt out, WOMAN!"  From how you describe, that would not be a good result!

I know that there have been things here and there dealing with wedding plans and my mom that will frustrate me, and I know the second I just explain my thoughts/frustrations, I feel better.  Granted, my mom isn't high strung the way your's sounds.

Who could hate summer?!  Live through a Michigan winter and you'll BEG for summer.
No venting, but I'm equally frustrated with my mother for the moment so I feel for ya.

I'm sorry you had a crappy day and your day was way worse than mine, but I have an annoying story that I would like to vent about too since you extended the invitation.  My fiance's best friend's parents called him today to see why their daughter in her 20's was not on the invite.  They wanted to know if she could come and if she could bring a date.  My inner monologue is running rampant with comments about lack of manners...it was addressed to just Mr. and Mrs. so and so, not their daughter who lives in their house.  After my fiance told them that he guesses that she could come, but she cannot bring a date, they reply, "but she really wants to bring a date."  AHHHHHHH!!!!  I didn't even invite a date for my best friend who is one of my bridesmaids, but ok, your daughter that I never even met can bring a date?  What is wrong with people?
