The guy that pretty much owns the company I work for just walked by and said "nice seat."  Hopefully my giant purple ball distracted him from the fact that I'm wearing a t-shirt and sandals today.  Normally we get some advance notice when bigwigs are here.

Haha yea, we chuckled about that. It went really well, I felt very comfortable with him. It was a lot of entry questions though so I guess we'll get to the nitty gritty of it next week.

Yeah, Aryn, that's pretty typical.  Our first session with our counselor was very "get to know you" as well, and we got down to brass tacks in the second session.  I'm glad that you liked him

Yea, but at the same time I'm kinda glad it's a different counselor. I dunno why but I think it'd be weird if I saw the same counselor twice a week but talked about different stuff each day.

I can get that. Plus, FI might be wondering what you say to the guy when you're alone and it could be weird.

Honestly, Aryn, I think it's a good idea that you're seeing two different counselors.  I'd been seeing my counselor for a year and a half before H and I decided to go to counseling.  He refused to see us for couples therapy on the grounds that it would be problematic to our working relationship.  He pointed out that he is there for ME, for MY best interests, and it would be difficult for him to be able to see me on a one-on-one basis, and work for what was best for ME, if he had an obligation to H as well.   We saw a friend of his that he recommended, and that has worked out much better.  I get to see my therapist every week and focus on myself, and I like it that way.

I actually do like it! Although I've only done 3 days, haha. I took last night off because FI finished studying for the night pretty early and I wanted to see him, but I'm definitely going to run today. It's crazy how sore I am from it. Plus the rest of my body is sore from being back at the gym, haha.

I think calypso was just a wee bit judgemental there (surprise, surprise). I am pleasantly surprised how people on both sides of the abortion debate are giving her pretty much the identical message. Maybe there is common ground, after all.
