XP: order for stuffing invitation envelopes

We're sending our invitations out on Thursday, and I've read conflicting "rules" about what order to stuff the inner envelope...

We have a flat invitation, a response card w/ envelope, a reception card, an accommodations card, and a map card.  Our accommodations card and map card are slightly larger than the response card and reception card.

I've read that you do invitation, response card, reception card, accommodations/map cards...but also that they should be in size order from smallest to largest (which would mess things up because my accommodations and map cards are the 2nd largest).

What should we do?  TIA!

I heard both of those, too.  In the end, I went with size order, which meant:

Invitation
Directions to Venue
Response Card
Insert with our website address

I haven't sealed my envelopes yet, so I can always change it, but... I feel like when people pull the invitation out of the envelope, everything falls out anyway so no one will know what order it was in in the first place!

My stationer told me the following order:

invitation

reception card

enclosure cards

reply card with envelope

I guess I'll just see how it looks when I put them all together tonight!  I'm waiting for the UPS truck to come with my map/accommodation cards!

you put the item requiring immediate action (response card) on top.
so special 84 is correct, provided she meant that to be bottom up.

Great! Thank you so much!  The cards just arrived, and they're actually the same size as the reception/response cards...so I guess size wasn't an issue anyway!
