Chivari chair rentals?

Has anyone rented these for under $8  in the NYC area?  They make such a huge difference in a room, however I would really hate to spend that much on chairs!

We considered it for about a day and then realized that we'd rather spend the money on food and booze

same as alison!  hated the chairs at our venue, but the cost to rent chairs seemed did not seem as important as other things since we were on a limited budget.
