Teenage Plus Ones?

Should I include my teenage cousins boyfriends and girlfriends on the invite? I know it is important to include couples that are in serious relationships, married or not, but does this include teens?

Re: Teenage Plus Ones?

  • We invited everyone with a guest. BUT we would not have invited any teenagers with a guest, regardless of how long they'd been together (we didn't have any teens so it was a moot point for me). I strongly feel that kids don't need dates, especially when they're going to a family event.
  • I say no- unless they're living together or engaged, in which case I'd probably invite them.
  • I invite a 19-year-old and her boyfriend. They have been together for over a year and because she is a close family-friend, I just invited her bf too. Another guest (17 years old) just RSVPed when his gf, and DH didn't have the heart to tell him no, so we let him bring her along.

I agree that it's not necessary, unless it's in the budget or if you know them really well. If so, then just consider it.
