I flame the people in the "Invite Fathers New Girlfriend" thread who were saying the mom should just suck it up and deal. I don't disagree that the girlfriend should be invited, but to have no compassion for a woman who is going to have to watch an ex (that she's still in love with) parade around with his new girlfriend is harsh. This isn't a situation of the parents hate each other and mom's trying to be spiteful. The mom didn't even ask the bride NOT to invite the girlfriend, it was the OP's idea.
