Meeting with the dj/jp

I am having a meeting this week with my DJ who is also my JP.  He suggest that we meet at a restaurant nerby at 6 at night.  I was just assuming that we will meet in the bar secton and talk over drinks. I was asking my Fi if we are supposed to buy him dinner and he thinks that the Dj is supposed to be buying us dinner since we are the "client" and are hiring him for such a big job.  I could honestly care less about eating during the meeting I just don't want to be rude.  What does everyone think?

Re: Meeting with the dj/jp

  • hmm.. it was his suggestion to meet there.. so I don't think you are obligated to pay.. if you are worried.. i would call and ask what his expectations were

i assume meeting over drinks though
  • If it were me, I'd go to the meeting with enough money to buy if I needed it, but I'd just feel it out and see what happens.
  • One of the first things I learned as an entrepreneur...if you suggest meeting at a restaurant during meal time - you pay for the potential client. Not everyone does, but should. Just take enough money for yourselves if you want to eat there.

  • Each buy your own. I know it isn't the same, but we met with a dj at starbucks and we each bought our own thing.
