It's actually a bit high, but MSP isn't a major international hub, and so you have to take extra flights.  Like, MSP-ATL-ROM, so it adds a bit more in fees.  Now, if you were able to fly out of O'Hare, in Chicago, we'd be talking under $700 and with British Airways.  Hi, free booze!

You are so smart. I thought of you as soon as my sense of dread set in shortly after I woke up. Sundays suck. Glad to hear that you won't have to deal with your anxiety today. Did you just take Monday off?

Morning.  I have to have a call with my boss today and I'm totally nervous about it so I may just go back to bed for awhile. 

Also, I thought DH was better yesterday but now he seems sick again so I'm totally paranoid that I'm going to get sick too.

I've been off since last Thursday. So a Thurs-Tues. vacation.

I hate the Sunday dread. Instead I get to look forward to doing lunch with my girlfriends tomorrow and hanging out with my little brother's girlfriend whilst drinking wine. That makes Sundays WAY more bearable.

Actually, our friends just flew Air France and had really good food, plus were given a small bottle of cognac after lunch.

Fishy - Ugh.  Basically it's probably going to be me reminding him that once again he promised me a new position and it's supposed to start in February and making sure that's still on track.  I've been kind of a shiit at work lately though because of a bunch of BS that's been pulled on me so I think I also have to apologize for that and sorta play up to him which I am not good at at all. 

DH is just dying to go see Avatar.  Our friends were telling us how good it was at dinner last night.  He really needs to stop being sick already.

I have to call him.  He probably won't even be home.  Being on a phone is just going to be so much more awkward if I start to cry (which I probably will because that's what I do when I'm frustrated ).

DH is offering to show me his balls if he thinks I'm about to cry.  I'm confused as to how we've gotten to this point in our relationship without him knowing his balls ALWAYS make me cry

Good morning, Mag, darlin!

I used to be a crier at work until one day I was having a bad day and in a stern, firm voice but from a caring place one of the higher ups I  work with said Christy. You have to not take things personally. This is a business. People are going to make you mad. But I promise that crying does not make people take you more seriously nor in the end does it help you get what you want. How do you want people to see you in a professional setting? Think about that first, and then have discussions later.

So now before big conversations, I practice. I have scripts in my head about what I'm going to say and how I'm going to react. Coming from a sensible place rather than an emotional place seems to work better for me. Over the phone, you could even write things down that you want to MAKE SURE you say and go from there.
