Anyone have their reception in the large room and go for uplighting?  I am trying to figure out if it's worth it because it would only be on 2 walls.

    you mean Nicotra's Ballroom at the Hilton, right?  I had my wedding there and absolutely loved it!   We had the larger room with the windows looking out to the forest.  Our DJ provided the uplight.  We did purple and thought it looked fantastic.  They were able to put the uplighting machines on the ground by the window wall too, so it's not just 2 walls. Here's a pic from our photographer.

    good luck with everything!  you will not be dissappointed with Nicotra's.
    Just make sure you give them a list of EVERYTHING you want back at the end of the night.  My MIL made a centerpiece for the escort card table and we forgot to tell them it was ours and that we wanted it back.  When we called a day later, it was already gone

    We also had our wedding at Nicotra's and had uplighting on the two walls. I thought it actually added a lot to the room. Pics in my bio. I know our photographer took advantage of the lighting in all of the pics at our sweetheart table, as well as in our cake pic.

    If you're using the larger rooms at Nicotras, then I suggest for you to use uplighting. The room is beautiful as is but uplighting makes such a difference and you'll see it in your pictures. I highly recommend it. HIGHLY!

    Hi Ladies

    I am getting married at Nicotra's on June 5th! We are using the amber uplighting supplied by our DJ. Our wedding consultant (Sue) said it makes a big difference. On a side note- does anyone know where I can get cheap black and white damask overlays or runners for the tables?

    I was thinking of the amber uplighting as well for the bigger room. how much does it usually cost? do you girls suggest it on all the walls?

    Did anyone think the amber uplighting made the room look too orange?? my flowers are all white. i am going for more of a romance than fall look so im on the fence about the lighting. Thanks!
