a few random questions...

1.  Is it weird to walk down the aisle to a lyrical song?  I mean, obviously not something crazy, but a love song?

2.  Do the bride and groom have to toast everyone at dinner, or is it OK if we thank people individually as we go around the room to see people.

Thanks!

I think you can walk down the aisle to a song with lyrics. I think that's kind of common anymore. <div>

  • Thanks ladies!  I know it's totally cheesy (made a little better because I haven't actually seen the movie yet) but I LOVE the new Christina Perry song that was in Twilight.  I heard her sing it live the first time she ever performed it and it made me cry, so I think that's what I'm going to go with.  Too cheesy?
  • All of our ceremony music had lyrics. They were all songs from Queen. So I think you're good.

You don't have to toast everyone. But do make sure to thank everyone like you've suggested.

  • Sounds cute MK.

OP - I too walked down the aisle to a song with lyrics.  I used the Dave Matthews Band version of "In My Life".

    1) If you like it, why not?

    2) At the end of the day, no one's going to really pay attention.  We toasted everyone at once (we had about 80 guests) and then after we rethanked them to whomever we get to talk to (you're going to be so busy you won't even know what happened).  So do whatever you feel comfortable, no one's going to really care.
  • My friends wedding she walked down the aisle to Blake Shelton's "God Gave Me You".  I really liked it and it was a nice change from the typical aisle walking songs ;)

My H and I didn't do a toast.  After we ate we walked around to each table and talked to our guests, but once the dance music started that was our cue to stop talking and start the party LOL!
