Re: FFF

  • Yeah, I'm flaming no-kill girl for (a) thinking the dog's current existence is better than being put in a shelter; (b) for saying a bunch of things that the OP could use to justify not calling, and then pretending that wasn't her intent; and (c) basically saying "oh, animals get abused much worse than this, you'd be so surprised, I bet animal control won't even take the dog." That's like saying you've seen somebody break their kid's arm in three places, so CPS probably wouldn't get involved with the kid who only got a black eye.

  • Can I flame the OP of that post for not calling AC immediately? Especially if her & her FI were that mad about the 3 dog's health & living conditions? I get that FI & his mom don't have a good relationship, but animal abuse is inexcusable and illegal.

And even though I'm a newb, it made Eagles cry. And Eagles seems pretty awesome.

[QUOTE]I flame MUNI for thinking OP in the animal abuse thread needs to get on the same page with her FI before calling the authorities.

I realized later that could be taken in a way i didn't mean it- I meant, like get him on the same page today, not let it linger for ages.

  • BTW -- I have to add one more thing about my flame.

I was NOT lecturing anyone about how they should use proper grammar in my thread. I was actually doing the opposite, saying that spelling things wrong or abbreviating stuff to be cute is an example of language evolving and that it doesn't bother me.

I am NOT being hypocritical lecturing ppl to use correct grammar, then using incorrect grammar myself. I did in fact OWN it that I am ok w/ that kind of language. And I also said that I do see the value of correct grammar.

A lot of people disagreed with me and I accept that, but I do still own what I said and stand by it, so I don't think I"m being hypocritical.

Yeah, I know. A lot of people did not agree with me. There was another girl who posted in there, talking about linguistics, etc. Ultimately, I think she said what I was trying to say, but she said it way better.
