Hi all,
The wedding reception we booked includes fees for tax and service, but not gratuity. Our banquet manager told us tipping was optional. However, most articles I read stated that you should tip the waitstaff 18-20% of the food and beverage fee. Were we to do that, their tip would be about $240 per waiter. Is that correct, or would it be okay to tip a set amount per waiter (say $50), and more for the captain?
