Tipping of the Officiant

We're paying an officiant $500 to marry us.  Are we still suppose to tip him?  Please help! ! !

It is not necessary to tip him when he is already charging a fee.  You only tip individuals who don't "own their own business" unless they exceed your expectations.

I won't be tipping our officiant. You are paying him as an individual, and he is performing a service. His payment should be sufficient.

Our officiant is being paid $150 - we're going to get him a $25 gift card to a restaurant that he told us he loved on our first meeting with him as a little "happy" but we aren't tipping him anything.
