Haha I did notice that it stopped at St. Patrick's day (I was around by then, so I was remembering the last few)... and I thought there were more after that.

I WANT TO GET MORE GOOD STORMS!! The next one that comes by, tell it to stop dying out over Lake Michigan because AK wants some weather action.

We have seriously averaged like...4 a week this summer. No lie. It's insane.

Des Moines got on average 4 inches of rain; the  airport recorded 3.37 inches (this is closer to us), and isolated spots recorded 5.6 inches. And it didn't start until 10:30-ish. Last night. I just saw where a freaking train got derailed by a flash flood- knocked off the tracks, and the tracks all askew, etc.
Our sump pump is raging.

The good storms all keep missing Minneapolis.  We had a good run a couple of weeks ago but now the crazy ones are not coming to my house.  I love storms.

Fische this has been the weirdest summer. It felt like it rained for the entire month of June. We got a lot of good storms.. tornado warnings.. the whole bit. Then July hit and I think it's rained once (yesterday). I keep seeing these massive storm systems hitting you guys, heading toward us, and then falling apart as they hit Lake Michigan. It's getting annoying.

Well, FI just informed me that he's going to try to build a birdhouse tonight for our card box.  I don't think he's ever built anything.  This should be fun   And I mean that with only a tiny bit of snark, I really do think it will be fun trying to do that.

Oh I will.  I don't think we even have a saw or anything.  And we're supposed to turn everything in to the venue tomorrow.  Color me confused on how this is going to work

Good afternoon everyone - I got out of work 4 hours early today, so that makes me happy.  As of right now. H still has a job, so that also makes me happy.  Our landscapers totally suck, so I am now emailing pictures to my property manager to kindly ask her (again) to see if they can do something about it.  That's the excitement that is my afternoon.

Here is the fruits of my labor today.


 I found the real wood under the algae on our deck stairs (I had already power washed the step once. I had to soak it in soapy water to get it off completely)

 And our railing (it's not wet, that's the true color difference after power washing)

Now I'm editing some wedding photos I took for a friend. She is so gorgeous
