Where/how to get ring resized

Hello, ladies. Just got engaged. Ring is gorgeous, just a tiny bit too big. I'm nervous about resizing it as I've had this done with another ring in the diamond district before and the results were terrible. I'm thinking of getting one of those little bumps put on it (what are those called?) but want to make sure I'm going to a reputable place. Any recommendations!

    Chateau Jewelers on Austin Street in Forest Hills, they did a fabulous job and fixed the botched job I had done elsewhere.  We also bought our wedding bands there.

    To be honest, you should totally go to where your fiance got the ring. They'd probably do it for free (like I had done to mine) and would take good care of it since it's their own product! Hope this helps!
