Good morning! I've been up since 4:30, so it's time everyone else is up, too. Weekend plans, anyone? We leave in 2 days for Florida, and I'm finally getting excited about it. My mom came over yesterday and primed and painted closets for me, so I got to work on painting my daughter's bedroom. I got the walls done, and she loves them! Still have to touch up the trim where the previous owner did a shittastic job painting and got the wall paint on the trim, but that can wait. I'm priming and painting stair risers and trim today, while the girls stain the deck (and probably themselves).

Hi, B! We are renting a place in Panama City Beach. Actually, my parents and brother are paying for it, but we are coming along for the fun (at their invitation). So my husband and I are going to play cook all week.

Morning, Night! (Okay, that looks funny) I hear you about the reunions. By the time we get back from FL, my sister and her family will be here from Switzerland for 3 weeks. So it will be family, family, family for the next month for me.

We're on family marathon in July as well.  My side's reunion, wedding, and his side's summer get together are all in July.  Then his brother gets married in August.  We'll be taking lots of weekends of six hour drives (one way) over the next six weeks.

Good morning!

FI and I haven't decided what we're doing for the 4th yet.  We went to the fireworks in Boston two years ago, and last year he had to work.  Manipulating the traffic in and out of Boston on the 4th is heinous, especially since we both have to work on the 5th.  So we'll probably stay closer to come that evening.  I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do.

Good morning!  We're going up north to my hometown (also where the rest of his family lives) this weekend.  My H is leaving today but I'm leaving tomorrow, so tonight I get the house to myself to have some wine and finally watch this musical that he isn't interested in seeing (Nine).

4th of July is my favorite holiday, no lie. Fireworks, barbecues, no gift related madness, summer... what's not to love? However, living in DC means the 4th of July celebrations can be kind of crazy. We tend to lay low on the 4th, but then we go out when Alexandria does their celebration a week later. It's all the same kinds of stuff but without the major crowds.

Morning, Everyone!

Tomorrow is my bridal shower here at work!  My friend here planned the whole thing, it's very sweet of her. Everyone thinks I don't know about it though, so we're going along with that. Then I want to go to Olive Garden either tomorrow or Saturday!

Saturday I go for alterations, then FI & I are going to see my cousin's Great Pyrenees puppy, and pick up his wedding band!  The rest of the weekend I hope to just sit on my patio and drink, and get a nice long bike ride in with FI.

Sara, you constantly amaze me with your energy for doing things around the house, I'm jealous!

We'll be staying home this weekend.  The weather is supposed to be gorgeous and Chesapeake City is having fireworks Friday night.  I'm assuming we'll be able to see them from our dock so that's cool   We'll probably do a bonfire on the beach since low tide is around 8:45pm Friday night.

Thanks Dani!  At first I was going to buy a new dress and then I thought, "No, I can't afford it" and THEN I ducked into Express on my lunch hour real quick and bought that damn top which cost more than the cheap dress I was going to get from Forever 21!  Oh well, I'll just have to make sure I wear it again.

I'm doing my laundry and packing as we speak for 5 days at the lake. Bingo tonight, Tim Mahoney tomorrow night, Hairball on Saturday night with a whole lot of  golf, lake time, sun, Norwegian golf, friends, family and beer in between.

TR, that is such a cute top -- I'm sure you'll get plenty of wear out of it!

We're staying in town this weekend because next weekend we're driving out to a friend's house who does this annual weekend campout, BBQ, music fest on her land. It's one of my favorite things ever, but being in Chicago the last two years we were too far away to get down there.

So this weekend we'll probbaly just hit a couple of friends' BBQs and maybe watch the fireworks. I've never been here in Kansas City for the 4th before, so I need to look up where the good stuff is.

OH vally....

Norwegian golf is like ladder golf? Do you know ladder golf? How about blongo ball? All the same thing. I think you need to come to Spicer for a spell.




There's TWO of those, about 20 feet apart. You have teams (so 4 people are playing at a time. 2 on each team). See those golf ball string things? You throw them at those PVC pipe things. Each rung is worth different amount of points. First team to 21 wins, but you have to get EXACTLY 21.

I've played that before! Very fun.

My weekend will be similar to yours except it will be shorter, minus the doing the laundry part and we'll be by the Bay and not a lake.

Fische- I love that game!! We call it "horseballs" (instead of horseshoes) just because we're immature like that.

I added my RSVP counter to my siggy this morning.... trying to find a new siggy pic but I can't decide if I should use a goofy one of me and FI.... a goofy one of just me....... or a goofy one of my dog. All my pics are goofy.

FI and I are having a big BBQ..He is the chef and I am the baker so we will be busy preparing and hosting but it'll be great. I'm looking forward to the giant pitcher of sangria my sis in law is going to bring!!
