ceremony location in NYC - no reception

hi i am planning my ceremony in NYC for september 2013. the reception will be in philadelphia a few weeks afterwards.

it will be about 20 people max - just close friends and family. we will do a short ceremony with standing, no chairs. we were considering central park but i am concerned that it still might be really hot in the beginning of september.

can anyone recommend any other outdoor or indoor venues for ceremony only? no religious places. we want an outdoor garden space, rooftop deck or something else. but it really has to be inexpensive. i don't want to spend more than $500 to rent a space, and no food either. thanks.

    I would look at some of the Lower East Side community gardens. Le Plaza Cultural hosts a lot of weddings, also 6th B garden. Costs vary but generally 200 for 4 hours with a 200 refundable deposit.
