I hope your cat turns up soon. I know you tore the place apart looking for her, but keep checking. My cats always had the most random hiding places and they'd turn up looking at me like I'm the stupidest being on the planet for not finding them.

So sorry to hear about your cat! I know you said you've looked everywhere, but I thought I'd share some of my cat's hiding places. If he's hiding or just doesn't want to be found he won't come out for anything, food included.

*under the bed in the box spring (he tore a hole in the lining and can crawl in)
*on top of the fridge
*between the couch cushions
*in the cabinets (he learned how to paw them open)
*between the headboard and the wall

Oh no:(   I hope you find her quickly.  I would freak out.

I had a tiny silver chinchilla persian who was only 5 lbs that ran out once late night when I took the trash out and I did not notice until I got home from work that next day.  It was storming too, and I was a hysterical mess.  I walked around for an hour and finally found her on a neighbor's stairs hiding behind their bushes.  She was covered in oil and so scared she didn't even meow until I picked her up.   Then she started crying and howling.  I'm getting sad just thinking about it.  The good news is that cats are pretty smart and tough.  I wish for a quick rescue!
