Unique Venues

Hi! I'm looking for venues that don't feel to wedding-y. I love the idea of something outdoors in for S/S 12, however, everything seems too contrived and if it doesn't, it's too expensive (I'd like to keep it under 10k for venue, even better with catering included). Do you have any suggestions? I'm open to the tri-state area.

Studio 450

Foundry

Landmark on the Park (can have an outdoor ceremony in CP)

Bubby's (indoors but large windows that overlook the Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges)

632 on Hudson (has outdoor roof deck - very eclectic)

Ethical Culture Society (Park Slope Brooklyn)

Prospect Park Picnic House OR Boathouse (Park Slope)

The Garden Court Cafe at the Asia Society Center feels very springy (I've only walked by). The photos on the website show it decked out in over the top decor, but if you kept it simple, I imagine it would be very pretty.

If you are having a small event, Frankies 457 in Brooklyn has a great garden-y space and is very affordable. Take a look at New Leaf Cafe near the Cloisters. Also, the top floor of Pampano is beautiful: airy and open with lots of sunlight. They had some of the most reasonable prices I saw during my search.

I went with 107 West a restaurant on the UWS. They were so helpful and so cheap. Everyone RAVED about the food.
