hey there!   I'm not sure what kind of exciting things I can tell you....Actually the 4th of July is my favorite holiday too, it's actually the day we got engaged last year.
I am an Ultrasound/Xray tech, and am beginning to feel a bit stressed about wedding stuff...but instead of trying to get anything done, here I am!

And this week has been awful, but I am really looking forward to the weekend and holiday!  I'm jealous of your 5 day weekend...

purdy dresses. I am holding off on trying on dresses because I hate the idea of people looking at me when I am trying things on. Would it be horrible to go alone? I think it would be fun.

I don't post often (obviously), just jump in every once in a while, but I've been lurking for 6 months or so, but I've been starting to feel like I'm being creepy just watching everyones conversations and never letting anyone know I'm around!

Rosie, I had the same feelings, but it really wasn't bad. I would suggest taking someone w/ you. If nothing else, it was nice to have someone ooo-ing and ahh-ing over me

I took H with me until I narrowed it way down. He knows me better than anyone in the world, so it seemed the natural choice. I loved it.

Rosie- what about your mom?  I know what you mean about not wanting to be looked at...when I went dress shopping, one of the shops put the ENTIRE PARTY in the changing room with me, so I was standing in my bra and underwear in front of my mom, FMIL, my grandma, and FSIL most of the time....it was awkward... I think it scarred me.

If it goes the way I think it will, there is a chance I will be surrounded by. MOH, FSIL, FMIL, FI's 3 aunts, 2 grandmothers, my mom, and my aunt.  That is going to kill me.

Fisch, they're more form-fitting, instead of being super poofy. That was the reason I liked them anyway..

My goal is to take my mom and FMIL to the dress store and do much of the foot work, then when I have a few I like then come back for another appointment and bring in the masses.

OH GOD Rosie. That's insane. INSANE I TELL YOU. If I were you, I'd go by myself in secret, have my dress picked out, and then just go through the motions with the freakin' Rosie -- Party of 98.

You'll want to stab yourself if you take that many. Everyone will have a different opinon and I'd guess you might end up angry/frustrated crying. DONT. DO. IT.
