Good Morning!!!!

It's another rainy day here in the VI.  Very unusal for us to have back to back rainy days here.   The tempature is a cool 69 degrees.  Something else a little unusual, but I admit it's kind of nice.  Except of course of the fact my trip might be cancelled.  Although some tourist somehow still love to go boating and snorkeling in the rain, so who knows what is going to happen.

What is everyone else up to??

  • Good morning! We've got some paint samples we're going to ponder today and then we're headed to a friend's house for Family Art Funday where we all paint on canvas. DH has a cherry blossom piece he's hoping to finish. And then I need to bake and ice a cake for my decorating class tomorrow. Fun stuff. Rain sounds lovely - we may get some.

  • Good morning!  I'm not usually around much on the weekends but our friends stayed over with their 2 year old last night, and he woke me up this morning.  By the time I got up and put on a pot of coffee, I realized how quiet it was, looked out the window, and they'd left!  Dang it!  So now I'm awake earlier than I wanted to be but too awake to go back to bed.  Oh well.

  • The left??  Not even saying goodbye?   That sucks, I hate when I wake up early but wished I was still asleep.

Yeah and the only reason I got up is because my H told me that he had told them we'd have breakfast before they left.  Oh well.  I'll enjoy my coffee and my quiet time!

  • Morning!

I got tired early and went to bed before midnight last night.  Now it's 8am and I'm pretty much awake, which is weird for me.

How are you feeling these days??

  • Hiya Dani!

I'm feeling pretty good.  I'm comfortably pregnant now...where it's obvious and cute, but doesn't get in the way too much.  I can't do too much stuff around the house without  killing my back, though.  Last night I started to pack up some clothes that I'm not going to wear until next fall and by the time I got done I was in excruciating pain.  So I just lounged on the couch for the rest of the night.  :)

How has your weekend been, aside from your friends just leaving this morning without saying goodbye (which is crappy)?

  • Good Morning! After sleeping all day yesterday, I'm wide awake. Feeling better, but I think I'm going to just lay around today, just to be sure.
  • Aw, I bet you are too cute!  :)

I've had a great weekend.  Friday night we went to see a Guns N Roses tribute band and they were awesome, and really fun.  Yesterday we enjoyed the sun and 50 degrees out on our patio.  My H grilled some chickens and we had a fire and had friends over.  It was wonderful.  I am loving this Spring weather and hoping it stays around for good!!

  • Morning! I'm feeling a little wacky after all the conversations I had with people yesterday about what I should do next with my life. I had another big idea that I need to talk to FI about, but I think I'm going to wait to tell you guys until after I talk with him. He's either going to laugh me out of town or be intrigued.

I also got a really long and caring email from my dad, which is nice because he doesn't send me caring emails all that often. I think I'm going to see this whole thing as an opportunity to reevaluate what I want from my life.

  • I agree about the weather!  It was in the upper 60s here yesterday, and soooo nice.  As much as I like winter, Spring is always welcome.  :)  And I think Spring is usually a little bit longer down here than it is in NY, so that's nice.

I almost cleaned off my patio table yesterday and hung out outside for a bit, but I was too lazy and just stayed on the couch.  Maybe today, though...

  • Good morning, everyone.  We're about to bake a cake for an Oscar party tonight.  I'm embarassed to say that we haven't even seen ONE of the nominated Best Pictures.  For some reason we just didn't go out to see movies at all - went to concerts instead, I guess.  And just watched mst3K or television shows on DVD at home.  So we're lame.

Sucrets - this is the best part!  Showing and cutely pregnant, but not unwieldy.  Nausea gone and energy back.  That was fun.
  • sarah - I truly hope that everything works out for you.  I'm actually a pretty big believer in 'everything happens for a reason' even though it's so cliche to say.  But I think that you're smart enough to not let this get you down and that down the road you'll see why it had to happen.  :)

  • ohwhy - I've actually had a really easy pregnancy so far (*knock on wood*)!  No nausea in 1st tri - the worst thing was just getting exhausted at 8:30pm, lol.  My energy level bounced back up in 2nd, and now I can feel it slowly going away again, but it's okay.  I don't really have too much to do anyway.

I just can't believe that it's gone by so quick!

It's funny how the upper 60s is spring to you and it's winter to me.  I have to take a sweatshirt to work today because I'm a little 'cold'.

I was in a t-shirt yesterday!  The sun is stronger down here than what I'm used to, so I can't imagine how strong it must be for you!

It was 50 and sunny here and it is definitely spring to me!!  We were outside in sweatshirts, jeans, and flip flops!  :)

  • It was in the 40s here and people were running around in shorts because it felt so warm.  Anything that melts the snow is "spring" around here, I guess.

I think I'd be a bit sad if I saved up for a  trip to the USVI and got rain and 60s, although it would still be preferable to the 30s that are typical for WI this time of year.

Sucrets - nice!  I'm sure things will continue to be easy, and I hope time continues to fly for you.  Before you know it, she'll be in your arms.  Sweet.
  • Good Morning! It's a wonderful 55 degrees right now and is supposed to be 60, which is freaking fantastic! It's usually be around 38-40 degrees for the last month.

I'm spending my day doing some lesson planning for the next week and also visiting with my aunt who has alzheimer's. Pretty laid back day...wishing the weekend was a day longer.
