I totally understand inviting the SO. this makes sense to me.
WHY would not extend a +1 to all single guests? The ceremony is for the couple, and the reception is for the guest. Who would want to go to a wedding (20 minutes) and then sit alone for the next 4 hours?
Again - not judging - I seriously don't get it.
