Is this dress hideous?

So I bought this dress last year and have wore it a few weddings. I thought I liked it, but now I see these pictures and I ask myself: what the hell was I thinking? It looks like a sac on me and the pattern looks old-fashioned. 

Please be brutally honest. Throw the dress in the trash?

I actually like the dress, but I never wear dresses EVER so my opinion probably doesn't count too much. If you don't feel confident wearing it, i'd donate it.

great belt, pearls or gold necklace, something to get away from the print alll over look.

I like the dress, but not the belt.  It looks a little pleatherish, at least from the pic.  Could you replace with a do-it-yourself belt, like a nice, wide black ribbon?

That cut and style works for your body type, but the pattern ages you. That pattern is popular with my 50+ customers. Tiny flower/geometric. If it was large or more colorful with a color ful belt it'd work. I think that if it was like an emerald green or aqua it'd be smashing.

No way, that dress is super cute! If you had some bangin heals on with it then it doesn't matter if it isn't a tight fitting dress, I love dresses that fit like that!

I like the dress, but I think that much black may be too harsh on your skin tone.  I don't think the problem is the dress itself so much as that it is washing you out.  Maybe if you paired it with a cardigan or belt in a good color for you?   (I can't wear black either, I've tried and tried but it simply does not look good on my skin tone and hair.  I try to substitute gray.)

Like others, I'm also not crazy about the belt.  Too flimsy.  Maybe a more substantial belt,  like as a tri-buckle?

Okay Shoe.  I don't think it's the dress, per se.  Sure, you could add a different belt, but damn do you need to up the accessories.  Also, when you're pale like I am and like you are, you need to brighten up your face with a pop of color.  If you have a darker pink or even a red lipstick-- totally hot. 

I'd try a really statementy kind of necklace, or if you're going to do your hair up, a pair of earrings would really do the trick.

I didn't vote because I don't think my opinion should matter.  The dress isn't so ugly that if I saw you wearing it I'd think "Gah!".  It's just a normal dress. So, if you like it, wear it.  It's not hideous. That said, it's totally not my style.  I don't like patterns and I like everything to be form fitting.
