If you did your own flowers, or helped somene else create theirs, how long did the entire process take? We are DIY all the wedding flowers for 12 large centerpieces, about 50 individual stem centerpeices(single stem of hydrangea) and  2 boquets..

Re: DIY Flowers- how long to create

  • I used all roses and what took the most time was removing the leaves and thorns.  I did it by myself and it took about eight hours to prep 500 roses.  I had two people help with the centerpieces and bouquets and it only took us about three hours for 12 centerpieces and six bouquets.
  • You know, I've done this a bunch of times, but can't for the life of me remember how long it all took- once it was a small group of us and we had drinks and listened to music and took our time. Other times I;ve shown the girls what to do- each time we took our time, did them the day before so we didn't feel too rushed- what month is your wedding? You can do them even two days before if it'll be cold enough to keep them in a garage.
  • My co-worker and I did 7 centrepieces and 1 massive bouquet for a friend in about an hour and a half. The longest part was prepping (removing leaves and trimming) the stems.
